Daihatsu Tanto, exported for use as a training vehicle, has arrived at the Aichi Daihatsu Malaysia Technical Training Centre.

One Daihatsu Tanto Custom RS was exported as a training vehicle to the Aichi Daihatsu Malaysia Technical Training Centre and arrived at the facility on July 30, 2026.

Since the launch of the MARA-Aichi Daihatsu Apprenticeship Program in July 2025, we have developed a training environment equipped with maintenance tools and equipment that is comparable to that in Japan. However, practical training using actual vehicles has so far been conducted with Perodua vehicles.

With the addition of the Daihatsu Tanto to the training fleet, students in the 3rd Batch of the program, which began in June 2026, are now able to receive practical training using an actual Daihatsu vehicle. This provides a more practical learning environment in which they can develop their knowledge of Daihatsu vehicles and enhance their maintenance skills.

In addition, the 1st Batch of the program, who have already completed technical and Japanese language training, are scheduled to travel to Japan and join Aichi Daihatsu in October 2026.

The students who completed the program are expected to make a successful start in Japan and play an active role in the future.
