On Friday, May 22, 2026, the completion ceremony for the 2nd Batch of the MARA-Aichi Daihatsu Apprenticeship Program was held at the Aichi Daihatsu Malaysia Technical Training Centre.
Over a period of 20 weeks, from January 5 to May 22, 2026, the 12 students of the 2nd batch underwent classroom-based and practical training, as well as on-the-job training (OJT) at Nagoya Automobile Malaysia Holding Sdn. Bhd., Aichi Daihatsu’s subsidiary in Malaysia. Through the program, the students acquired fundamental knowledge of Daihatsu vehicles and practical skills such as vehicle inspection and maintenance work.
In addition, introductory education on the Japanese language, etiquette, and manners was provided during the training period in order to help the students become familiar with Japanese language and culture at an early stage, in preparation for living and working in Japan.
The 12 students who completed the program are scheduled to undergo 6 months of intensive Japanese language and cultural training in Malaysia starting from July 2026. Afterward, they are expected to join Aichi Daihatsu from February 2027 onward, and are anticipated to play active roles in Japan in the future.
